Moshe's Place | ||
Since 1995 |
This site was officially launched on July 4 1999. The occasion: The 15th National Conference of the Australian Society for Operations Research (ASOR), in the Gold Coast.. Given the progress made over the past 20 years or so in web technologies, this site is old.
To the best of my knowledge, at that time, the site was the most extensive and innovative OR site of its kind. You do not have to take my word for it though. Browse around and take a look at what the project offerred when it was operational.
Since my retirement in 2008, the site was essentially dormant. Some of the modules are still operational, but some are not. It seems that the major cause of damage was the transfer of files, compression/expansion operations, and so on. I have noticed that some of the Javascript files have been badly corrupted.
I may be able to revive some of them, but this will take some time.
It gives me great pleasure to acknowledge,again, with deep thanks, the support that this project received at the time from the University of Melbourne and The International Federation of Operational Research Societies IFORS.
